Park Pride

Since its founding in 1989, Park Pride has worked to engage communities in parks and greenspaces.  Park Pride helps communities identify park improvement goals and provides a wide range of programs to help them ensure that their park reflects the character of the local neighborhood and meets the needs of its citizens.   A few highlights of the organization’s accomplishments over the past 25 years are: coordinating over 500,000 hours of volunteer service in parks; facilitating the creation of more than 100 Friends of the Park groups; awarding $2.8 million to community groups for park improvements; and helping communities raise $3.9 million through the Fiscal Partners Program.
