Camp Twin Lakes (CTL), established in 1993, is a unique non-profit organization in Georgia providing camping programs designed specifically for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and life challenges. In collaboration with our network of nearly 60 nonprofit community partners, we provide life-changing experiences from our three state-of-the-art, fully accessible and medically-supported campsites at CTL-Rutledge, CTL- Will-A-Way in Winder, CTL-Camp Dream in Warm Springs, and through hospital-based day camp programs across the state. Our year-round programs serve 10,000 children and teens from 158 different counties across Georgia, and we leverage the support of 3,500 volunteers annually. CTL facilitates camp programs for every collaborating nonprofit partner, providing specially trained program staff, medical staff supervision, and subsidizes 80% of direct camp costs for every child. Our Camp Partners recruit campers, and provide volunteers and medical staff for their groups while at Camp. In addition to summer weeklong programming, CTL runs weekend retreats throughout the school year for campers and their families. Camp Twin Lakes also serves children undergoing treatment at children’s hospitals in Atlanta, Macon, Savannah and Augusta through our Camp-To-Go day camps.
